is a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, with an eating disorder, and numerous others. She hears voices, and has tried to kill herself and her brother and mother on numerous attempts. She’s been sectioned. She’s been in Foster Care, after a doctor said there was nothing wrong with her and that she just hated her mother. She’s been force fed through a tube.
I have never been so proud of anyone as i am of him and his mother. They stuck by her through everything, travelling miles across England to see her every week and let her know they were there for her. They never lost hope that she could get better. They never abandoned her, and they got through it together.
I knew about this for a while. But i never knew how bad it was until today. He sent an email to all his friends, with an attachment of a speech his mum had given this Julie. It outlined his sisters condition, and how the family had dealt with it since its emerging signs when she was 8. Only a very few of his friends knew this ‘secret’ about him.
And i think he is the bravest person in the world for letting everyone know in such a personal way. He’s wonderful.

No other road, no other way: lyrics from RENT too :)
